established in 1958, the southwest research & design institute of chemical industry specializes in natural gas chemical engineering, gaseous hydrocarbon desulfurization and desulfurizers, hydrocarbon conversion process and catalysts, c1 chemistry, acetylene chemistry, pressure swing adsorption (psa) gas separation technology and equipment, technical and economic evaluation, information consulting, and chemical engineering and design. it has the national key lab for industrial off-gas utilization, and is a support unit for the china national psa separation technology engineering research center and china national c1 chemical engineering research center.
