guangzhou institute recently received a seven-member expert panel that conducted an airworthiness review on the testing technology of g274 rubber materials used for c919, china’s first large jetliner. the experts are from government agencies and authoritative enterprises including the civil aviation administration of china (caac), commercial aircraft corporation of china ltd. (comac) and aero engine corporation of china (aecc).
the high-tech office of guangzhou institute did much of the groundwork such as personnel training, equipment verification, environmental facilities, samples acceptance, document formulation and rehearsals to ensure the institute could pass the certification. in recognition of the institute’s testing capacity, the expert panel permitted it to conduct relevant tests, and issued the authorized release certificate/airworthiness approval tag, making the institute a caac-certified enterprise.
